Kadia Miller, Havre High X-Country
Kadia Miller is no stranger to winning races in Havre. And the Blue Pony junior did it again Saturday. For the second straight year, Miller captured the girls race at the Havre Invitational Cross Country Meet, held at MSU-Northern. Miller won in 21:26, and she also helped the Havre girls to the team title. Miller has already won two races this season. She is also a standout basketball player for the Blue Ponies.
Tyrel Kjersem, Havre High Golf
Tyrel Kjersem loves to hit anything with a ball. And, in only his second year of golf, it's paying off. Last Friday, Kjersem shot an outstanding 89 to place fourth at the Central A Divisional Golf Tournament, held at Prairie Farms Golf Course. Kjersem, who is also an All-Conference tennis player at HHS, as well as a standout baseball player for the Havre North Stars, earned his first trip to the Class A state golf tournament in the process.
