Press release
Chapter V of the International P.E.O. Sisterhood has announced its Montana State Univeristy-Northern scholarship recipients for the 2018-19 scholastic year.
Chapter V awarded a scholarship to Havre High School senior Kaci Nicholson. Nicholson is attending Northern pursuing a biology degree.
Carlee Brown, a current Northern student pursuing a degree in criminal justice is the other recipient of the MSU-Northern scholarship.
Chapter V Martha Kuhr Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Northern student Bridgette Greenwood.
P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization in which women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
True to the mission of promoting educational opportunities for women, education is the primary philanthropy of the P.E.O. sisterhood. The P.E.O. sisterhood proudly sponsors six international philanthropies, designed to assist women with their educational goals. Grant and loan recipients-as well as Cottey College students- need not to be members of P.E.O. With the exception of students that receive International Peace Scholarships, each recipient is sponsored by a P.E.O. chapter. This allows the chapter members to be a "meaningful" part of their student's life.
