Dog Park Club invites people to join it in parade

The Havre Dog Park Club is calling for people to join them will be in this year’s Festival Parade.

More than 20 people already are scheduled to walk their dogs at the parade. They will also have a Chevrolet truck decorated for the event with signage for the club and people and their dogs on the bed.

The club has invited everyone to join its members in the parade. People can contact the club through its Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/483112182023300/, or contact club member Jennifer Archibald on her Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/Jennifer.Archibald to ask to participate.

The club’s is trying to raise awareness of its goals, including creating a dog park in Havre. During the parade, the club will also be handing out bags of homemade dog treats with business cards connected to them, which will have more information about the club as well as where to donate.

People who want to donate to the club can make their donations to the Havre Dog Park Club Bear Paw Credit Union account.

There will also be a dog treat making event Thursday, Sept. 20, at 6 p.m. contact the club for more information.

Archibald said the club is still looking for participants and all are welcome to both events, adding that the club has monthly meetings the third Monday of every month at the District IV Human Resources Development Council building at 2229 Fifth Ave.
