Tee to Green
There’s plenty still going on in the local golf scene, but since the calendar has turned to August, it’s not just about the adults anymore.
No, this week, the Havre High golf teams begin practicing under new head coach Waylynn Burgess, while later this month, the Montana State University-Northern golf teams will also get going.
The Blue Ponies will hold their first practice of the new season Friday, and will play their first tournament of the season, the Great Falls Invitational next Monday and Tuesday. Havre will also be home next Thursday for the annual Havre Invitational.
So, I’d like to take this time to wish all of our local high school and college golfers good luck on their upcoming seasons.
