Frances Hatler, 93, long-time resident of Havre, died Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Oak Ridge Assisted Living Facility in Hastings, Minnesota.
She was born October 23, 1924, to Lee and Hazel Barnes. She graduated from Whitefish High School in 1940 and Northern Montana College in 1973. She married Kenneth Hatler June 18, 1945.
She was a member of the Sixth Avenue Christian Church. She taught in a rural school and also at the Havre Air Force Station. Upon retiring, she and her husband became snowbirds, spending their winters in Casa Grande, Arizona. She eventually moved to Arizona where she resided, until, because of health issues, she moved to Minnesota to be closer to family, where she lived for the past three years.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and long-time companion John Andrus. She is survived by sons Ronald (Beverly), Minnesota; Larry (Joan), Florida; daughters Beverly Pokorny, Utah; Chris (David) Watkins, North Dakota; stepdaughter Beth (Bill) Voss, Arizona; eight grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest August 10, 2018, at an 11 a.m. graveside service at Highland Cemetery.
