KNMC seeks musicians for third Rock Lotto

KNMC is hosting its third Rock Lotto Saturday, Sept. 22, during Havre Festival Days. 

KNMC Rock Lotto is an event in which local musicians put their name in a hat and are randomly placed into bands for a one-time performance. Musicians typically sign up for one category: vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboards or whatever instrument they’d prefer. Once the bands have been assembled, a subsequent drawing is held to assign songs for each of the bands to learn. Bands typically have five to six weeks to learn their songs and rehearse for their performance. 

KNMC is actively seeking musicians of all ages and abilities to sign up for the annual Rock Lotto event. This year, the organizers added a category for middle school musicians, high school musicians and a category for musicians from surrounding communities.

The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, Aug. 8.

Musicians can also sign up in person for Rock Lotto at Triple Dog Brewing Co. and Old Station Brewing Co.

The Rock Lotto drawing will take place Aug. 8 at Sounds on the Square.
