A BUCK WILD FRIDAY NIGHT

Harlem's T'Jay Allen wins big at second annual Cody FourColors Memorial Bull Riding

When it comes to the rodeo, there is nothing quite like bull riding.

And that's probably why there was an electric atmosphere at the Great Northern Fairgrounds Friday night for the second annual Cody FourColors Memorial Bull Riding.

The event, which is part of the Bull Riders Canada season schedule, featured three different payouts, all won by T'Jay Allen of Harlem.

In the long round, Allen took first with a score of 83.5, beating Gerald Eash of Trego who managed an 82.5. Allen took home $1,407 in prize money. Eash wound up with $1,082 and third-place finisher Ashton Sahli of Red Deer, Alberta, won $757 after a score of 76.

In the Canadian Global Championship round, there were no qualified riders, so Allen earned the top spot and another $1,950, followed by Eash, who got $1,500 and Sahli, who was awarded $1,050. That also gave Allen the top overall spot. In all, he won $3,357. Eash was second, winning $2,582 and Sahli was third with a total of $1,807.

Stock was provided by Havre's Clint Solomon, as well as Whitford Bulls, Crasco Bulls, Kittsons Bulls and Triplett Bulls. Judges for the event, which featured 30 contestants, were Scott Breding and Jeff Marn.

The event was part of the season-long Bull Riders Canada race to the finals which will be held Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 in Lloyd-minster, Saskatchewan.
