National Weather Service has issued a fire weather watch for north-central Montana Wednesday including Blaine, Chouteau, Hill and Liberty counties due to dry, hot, windy conditions.
Weather Service reports temperatures are expected to be in the 80s and 90s Wednesday, which, combined with west winds from 15 mph to 25 mph and gusts as high as 35 mph and humidity as low as 10 percent, greatly increases the chance of fires.
The weather is expected to create critical fire weather conditions Wednesday from noon to the evening hours in an area ranging from the Rocky Mountain Front to Valley County and as far south as Silver Bow and Gallatin counties.
People are urged to use extreme caution.
