Plant a Seed … Read is holding a Crunch for a Cause fundraiser at Havre’s Taco John’s Thursday from 5-7 p.m.

When people mention Plant a Seed … Read while ordering Taco John’s will donate 50 percent of the purchase price to the program to help support its efforts with the Operation Newborn Project.

Gift bags are given to new babies at the Northern Montana Health Care or by sponsors purchasing a registration for any 2018 newborn in Blaine or Hill County. Gift bags include a registration form, the child’s first book with the Imagination Library – “The Little Engine That Could,” a CD and brochure on car seat safety compliments of Buckle UP and Milestone Moments pamphlet. This pamphlet encourages parents to learn the signs and act early as they follow their child’s development by watching how he or she plays, learns, speaks, acts and moves. This pamphlet is compliments from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Mentioning Plant A Seed … Read Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Taco John’s will help the program reach children from birth to receive age-appropriate books once a month from the Imagination Library.
