Press release

Ever wondered what really happens at the point of death? Karin Gunderson, author of “Encounters with Heaven — Stories of God’s Surprising Presence” along with her son, Ryan will be presenting “Encounter with Heaven,” an experiential evening combining Karin’s incredible true stories from her work as a hospice harpist, with beautiful harp, piano, Native American flute, vocals and incredible stories from Karin’s hospice work.

The Gundersons will be giving a concert Wednesday, July 25, at 7 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Havre.

Ryan Gunderson began playing by ear in first grade and was soon creating compositions for the adult choir at his family’s church. He recently recorded his first relaxing piano album which will be available along with Heavenly Harp Music CDs and musical nature DVDs. Karin is a Concordia College music graduate who has played for over 25,000 hospice patients and their families as they drew near to death.

The audience enjoy a combination of peaceful music on popular and Christian pieces like “What a Wonderful World,” and “It is Well with My Soul.” Attendees will also be invited to participate in singing a few favorite hymns as well.
