2018 Bear Paw Roundup PRCA Rodeo comes to the Blaine County Fair

It's finally time. Time for the professional rodeo circuit to hit the Hi-Line, and it starts Friday night in Chinook.

The 2018 Blaine County Fair is underway and the weekend will provide some exciting rodeo entertainment as the annual Bear Paw Roundup PRCA rodeo comes to the Blaine County Fairgrounds.

The Bear Paw Roundup is not only considered one of the top rodeos each summer on the Hi-Line, but it's also one of the best on the Montana PRCA circuit. As proof, this weekend's rodeo, which runs Friday and Saturday, will draw some of the top cowboys and cowgirls, not only from across Montana, but all over the western region of the PRCA. Of course, plenty of locals will also participate in the two days of rodeo action.

This year's Bear Paw Roundup, presented by Moxley Construction will feature two performances as well as slack Saturday morning. The rodeo will feature Johnny "Backflip" Dudley as the barrel man, as well as famed announcer Barney Sheridan, and stock is provided by Brookman Rodeo. Both night performances will also include Monkey on a Rope.

The Bear Paw Roundup kicks off several weeks of exciting pro rodeo action on the Hi-Line, a strong of events which also includes the Great Northern Open Rodeo and the annual Cody Four Colors Memorial Bull Riding during the upcoming Great Northern Fair. The rodeo during the annual Rocky Boy Pow Wow is also upcoming this summer.

The 2018 Bear Paw Roundup gets underway with a performance Friday night at 7 p.m., followed by slack Saturday morning at 9 a.m. The action concludes with another performance Saturday night at 7 p.m. All of the action takes place at the Blaine County Fairgrounds Arena in Chinook.
