Havre Youth Baseball Association continued its city tournaments and the next in line was the Minors city championship, which was won Thursday night by Hockett Farms.
Hockett Farms grabbed an early lead and tacked on some insurance runs late in the game, with three runs in the fifth inning to wrap up a 7-3 win to take home the city championship. The team clinched the top spot after a 7-3 win over Sinclar at Elks Park. Hockett Farms opened the Minors tournament with another 7-3 win over Master Sports, then followed that up with a 9-2 win over Culligan.
Hockett Farms was coached by Russ Ostwalt and Curt Shandorf. The roster featured Oliver Benjamin, Carter Chagnon, Aiden Coleman, Quinn Elliot, Brody Hagstrom, Patrick McKenzie, Dax Ostwalt, Rogan Sayers, Aiden Shandorf and Austin Velk.
Sinclair was coached by Dustin Kinsella and Michael McCray. The 11-man roster consisted of Heydon Jensen, D'Andre Johnson, Evan Karris, Logan Kinsella, Josh Knoles, Jackson Merrill, Jeremy Miller, Ryder Oats, Garion Olson, Eli Vaughn and Gage Wilson.
