Charles M. Nissen, 63, passed away at his Havre residence due to natural causes Saturday, June 9, 2018.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday June 15, 2018, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel.
Memorials in Charles' name may be made to the Havre Animal Shelter or the charity of the donor's choice.
Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Charles was born in Havre, Montana, Jan. 2, 1955, to Christopher Murphy Nissen and Clara Vilma Nissen. He attended Havre Public Schools and after school he enlisted in the U.S. Army. In recent years, Charles worked as a custodian at Havre Public Schools, first at Havre High School and most recently at Sunnyside Intermediate School.
Charles enjoyed fishing and hunting. He spent many fall days traveling through the mountains and prairies around Havre hunting deer and antelope or fishing for trout with his family and friends. He even spent many winter days on the ice, fishing, accompanied by his hardier family and friends. During the summers, Charles enjoyed gardening. In the last year of his life, he had the great joy of becoming a grandfather.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Helen "Jo" Aubut.
He is remembered by his children Jayson (Kerstin) Nissen and Shauna (Robert) Golombeski; granddaughter, Kacie Golombeski; brother, Frank Nissen; sisters Chris (Steve) Goodwin and Sarah (Joe) Molkie; uncle Norm Spoonheim; and his many friends, nieces, nephews and co-workers.
