Bullhook health center receives $1.68 million grant

Montana’s U.S. senators have announced that Havre’s Bullhook Community Health Center received a grant in this years round of funding.

Sens. Jon Tester and Steve Daines each announced that Department of Health and Human Services awarded Bullhook a $1,689,606 grant, one of five health centers in Montana receiving a total of more than $12 million in grants.

“Community health centers provide top-notch, affordable health care to folks across Big Sky Country,” Tester said in a release about the grant. “From flu shots to cancer screenings, Bullhook Community Health Center keeps families healthy without emptying their wallets.”

“Community Health Centers provide vital and affordable care to the most vulnerable members of our community,” said Daines. “These critical funds will work to improve the health and wellbeing of thousands of Montanans.”

The other Montana health centers receiving grants are RiverStone Health in Bilings, Lincoln County Community Health Center in Libby, Glacier Community Health Center in Cut Bank and Bighorn Valley Health Center in Hardin.
