Local students among UM graduation candidates

MISSOULA – The University of Montana said it congratulates the 2,083 students who are degree candidates for spring semester 2018, including the following local students, with commencement ceremonies May 12 at the Adams Center.

Natasha LaRose, Master of Arts: Anthropology

Doranda Standing Rock, Bachelor of Arts: Mathematics

Danielle Vazquez, Bachelor of Arts: Social Work, magna cum laude

Harlem

Leigha Friedlander, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Marketing

Havre

Nikki Gabrielsen, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Management Information Systems, Cum laude

Jacob Lilletvedt, Doctor of Pharmacy: Pharmacy

Joplin

Timothy Stokes, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Marketing

The full lists of students who are UM degree candidates or have been awarded their degrees for spring semester 2018 are at http://www.umt.edu/urelations/info/deanslist.php.

Graduates with “cum laude” after their name indicate a GPA of 3.4 to 3.69. “magna cum laude” indicates a 3.7 to 3.89 GPA, and “summa cum laude” is 3.9 and above.

Official awarding of degrees and official honors designations are not made until degree candidates have completed their final term of enrollment and met all specific requirements.
