Kenneth Duane Bertelsen, 51, passed away at San Juan Regional Medical Center, Farmington, NM, on Feb. 4, 2018, cause of death tension pneumothorax due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COPD.
Ken was born Jan. 7 1967, in Seattle WA, grew up in Havre, MT, and graduated at Havre High School.
He loved the Seattle Seahawks and enjoyed his work as a mechanic, always had many friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Butterfield; stepfather, Gale Butterfield; brother, John Bertelsen; sister, Brenda Richardson; and nephew Marcus Richardson.
He is survived by his three children, Chelsea Bertelsen, Jared Bertelsen and Paige Bertelsen; father, Clarence (Susan) Bertelsen; stepbrothers, Mark (Angela), Craig (Dani), and Brett (Kim) Butterfield; grandson, Silas Grote; nieces, Amber (Shayne) Britton and Ashley Richardson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life for friends and family will be held in Farmington, NM, on Friday, May 18, at Berg Park, 3 p.m. There will also be a celebration of life held in Havre, MT, during the summer TBD. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
