Nuisance weed ordinance in effect

The Havre nuisance weed ordinance began May 1, and property owners with grass or weeds taller than eight inches will receive a notice.

If the weeds are not cut or removed within 10 days, the city will remove the weeds and the cost of the removal will be charged to the property owner.

Owners will receive only one violation notice per year, and the city will remove the nuisance grass or weeds in violation of Ordinance No. 888 without any additional notice.
