Editor,
In the upcoming June primary election, Montana voters have the opportunity to select Kathleen Williams, an experienced, proven candidate for our U.S. House seat. She is the only Democratic candidate with elected office experience.
As an avid outdoor enthusiast, Kathleen will work to preserve and protect sustainable access to Montana’s public lands.
Kathleen’s approach to problem solving is one of respect and fostering bipartisan relationships. It’s time we return to governing with ethics and finding common ground.
She served on the Governor’s Drought Committee and the Reserved Water Rights Compact Commission.
She also served as the vice chair of the Agriculture and Taxation committees, where she worked to advance an Earned Income Tax Credit which passed in 2015.
And Williams is a strong advocate for adequate, affordable health care. After years of hard work, she passed a bill that ensured critical coverage for routine cancer treatment while allowing patients to benefit from life-saving clinical trials.
The stakes are too high today to select someone who will need to learn on the job. With Kathleen’s experience, knowledge of critical issues and strong work ethic, she can hit the ground running on behalf of all Montanans and the betterment of our state.
