Editor,
April 28, the Friends of the Clack Museum hosted the Third Annual Historic Tea for the purpose of raising funds for the New Havre History Center’s building projects.
On behalf of the H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum Board of Hill County and the H. Earl and Margaret Turner Clack Memorial Museum Foundation, I would like to express our deep appreciation to the many, many women and men who helped make this memorable afternoon tea a huge success.
The Afternoon Tea was co-chaired by Judy Ward and Karen Vosen. The appointed table hostesses, the servers, the food preparers, the kitchen staff and the crew at the Best Western Havre Inn and Suites are all extended a heartfelt “thank-you.” In addition, thank you to Barb Zook for the beautiful harp music and Pam Veis for the great entertainment. The historic buildings of Havre were featured this year and Pam Veis, with the help of Emily Mayer, took us on a historical stroll of Havre while relating very interesting facts about each building. Each of the “honored” buildings was featured in an outstanding quilt made by and donated to the event by Karen Vosen. Thank you to Emily Mayer for the beautiful quilt display. Mike Haugen was the Master of Ceremonies and Elaine Morse added a few words about the progress of the new museum. I am truly filled with gratitude to all of the men and women who helped with the “Building Havre’s Heritage” Tea.
We thank the community of Havre and the Hi-Line for their generous support of our fundraising efforts. Thank you, too, to both boards for their never-tiring work on behalf of Havre’s history.
Judi Dritshulas, chair, H. Earl Clack Museum Board
