Jim made his living in all aspects of road construction, retiring in 2012 from Baltrusch Construction of Havre after 52 years of service. Following Jim's retirement, he and Carolyn relocated to Coeur d' Alene, ID.

Surviving siblings are Duane (Joyce) Richardson of Prior Lake, Minnesota, Tary (Kathy) Richardson and Gary (Wanda) Richardson, both of Havre, Montana, and Leann Reames of Gonzales, Louisiana.
A memorial will be held May 19 at 1 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Coeur d'Alene.
