Well, spring is here, and we have all waited patiently for it. After the winter we had we are all happy it is finally here. We, here in Montana, all know how unpredictable spring can be. These months can be cold, warm, hot, stormy, rainy with wind and yes, sometimes even snowy. We all hope to experience a mild spring but we will take what we get and plan for the unexpected. I am waiting for April showers to bring May flowers.

Our spring fundraiser is right around the the corner. We are now collecting for the rummage sale. If you have any closets or cabinets to clean out now is the time. Bring any and all donations to us here at the Senior Cener. Thanks much.

Anyone interested in playing Pinochle at the Senior Center is invited to participate in the Wednesday Group. Call or drop in and check us out.

We will be holding a silent auction, which will begin next week. A drawing by Arlene Morgan titled “The Old Buttrey Home” has been donated to the Senior Center. A picture of the drawing can be seen on the senior’s Facebook page or you can stop down to see the drawing and put in your bid. The proceeds from this auction will go to the steam table fund we have been working so hard to replace.

We have a new update for everyone who has been so generously donating to our steam table fund. At today’s prices we expect to have to pay about $10,000 and we have now received $6,952.65 in donated funds toward our goal. Who would have thought we would find so many gentle people willing to do so much good for others with no expectation of gain or recognition. Thank you again. I know it won’t be long before we meet and complete our goal.

The Senior Gift Shop has a wonderful selection of greeting cards for your shopping needs. Be sure to stop by and check them out. We know you will be pleased with both our selection and our prices.
