April 30, 2018, at 4 a.m. Eugene W. Cooper, age 88, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home with his daughters by his side.
Cremation has taken place and a private family burial was held at Highland Cemetery in Havre.
Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Gene served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years. While stationed in Hutchison, KS, he met and married his lifetime love, Dixie Dougan, April 7, 1954. Their military travels took them to California, Tennessee, Arizona and Hawaii.
After retiring from the service his final destination was Havre, MT. He was employed as a carpet installer until his retirement. He loved fishing, hunting and his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dixie; his parents, Eugene and Opal Cooper; and his brother Max Cooper.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sherry Cooper (Darryl) Chevalier of Havre, MT, and Tina Cooper McIntosh of Las Vegas, NV; his two granddaughters, Crystal McIntosh and Sommer McIntosh, and his great-grandson, Wyatt Lowry, all of Las Vegas, NV; and his brother Gerald Cooper of Midwest City, OK.
