Havre Public Schools celebrates their employees and teachers

Tuesday night among dessert, coffee and music, the employees of Havre Public Schools were recognized for all they do.

The Employee Recognition Celebration was held in the Havre High School gym and started with a dessert social at 6:30 p.m. followed by an awards program which celebrated both classified employees and teachers.

The conclusion of the celebration included a thank-you from Superintendent Andy Carlson.

"Consistency isn't flash," Carlson said, "but it is essential."

He added that children need that consistency at school; they need to know that they will see someone with a smile at school. They need to know that there is someone there who cares about them.

"I'm a parent too. ... As a parent, I know my kids like going to school," Carlson said, "Thank you for that consistency because it does matter."

"Education is meant to last overtime," Carlson concluded. "Consistency matters."
