Trey Murphy/Kennedy McKay, Havre Tennis

Last spring was a good one for the Havre doubles duo of Trey Murphy and Kennedy McKay. Now seniors, the tandem is picking up right where they left off. Saturday in Lewistown, the Blue Pony duo dominated opponents from Great Falls Central, Livingston and Lewistown at the Fergus Duals in Lewistown. The tandem, who finished second in the Central A a year ago, dropped just four games all day, and improved to a stellar 7-1 on the season. They have also played doubles together for all four years of HHS tennis.

Alex Barkus, Havre Softball

Havre High senior Alex Barkus has been a strong pitcher for the Blue Pony softball team thus far. But her best outing was special as she helped the Blue Ponies beat rival Lewistown in their home opener on Friday afternoon. Barkus pitched four scoreless innnings to start the game and went on to hold the potent Eagle lineup to just five runs in Havre's dramatic 8-5 win. Barkus, who is a three-year starter for the Blue Ponies, is also heavily involved in many extra curricular activites and a top student at HHS.
