An officer investigating suspicious activity Wednesday at 3:59 p.m. on Second Street made two arrests, but no further details were provided.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies investigated a Wednesday 3:19 p.m. report of a storage unit break-in.

Arthur Lee Whitford of Box Elder, 53, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant at 12:20 a.m. today in Box Elder.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Wednesday and one call today.

Fire crews responded to a report of a strong odor at a business on the 1700 Block of Highway 2 Northwest, but no problem was detected.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held five medium-hair cats whose sex is listed as “unknown”; and one female and two male short-hair cats.

The shelter held this morning held a male 8-month-old pit bull-hound mix, a 1-year-3-month-old female Australian shepherd, a 1-year-old male Labrador retriever-pug mix-breed, a 2-year-old female mixed-breed, a 6-year-old female Labrador retriever and a 15-week-old male mixed-breed puppy.

A boy was born Tuesday, March 13, 2018, to Sheryce Longknife of Harlem.
