Officers investigated a Monday 9:30 a.m. report that a man stole items from the caller’s business shop in Havre.

Officers made an arrest after a First Street business caller reported a shoplifter Monday at 12:19 p.m. No details were provided on the arrest.

Officers investigated a 2:32 p.m. Monday report at the police station of fraudulent charges on a credit card.

Officers investigated a 2:53 p.m. Monday report from the Havre area of a stolen pickup.

Officers investigated a call from a First Street business Monday at 3:18 p.m. that while clerks were dealing with a male customer who tried paying with a bad check, a girl who was with the man took the items out of the store.

Officers investigated vehicle crash at a Third Street West residence reported Monday at 3:29 p.m.

An arrest was made in connection with a sex offense reported Monday at 3:41 p.m. from the child abuse hotline. No details were provided about the arrest and charges.

Officers investigated a Monday 4:13 p.m. report from Sixth Avenue of a building being spray painted.

Joseph Don Wetsit of Havre, 23, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after an officer stopped on Third Street to help with a stuck vehicle at 1:27 this morning.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies escorted a prisoner from Justice Court to the hospital Monday at 1:55 p.m.

Roland Lee Myers of Box Elder, 37, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and Bernard Christopher Calvin of Box Elder, 37, was issued a summons on a charge of possession of dangerous drugs during a vehicle stop at 1:42 this morning on First Street.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to one call Monday and two calls this morning.

Fire department and NorthWestern Energy crews responded to a report of a gas smell on the 600 Block of Second Avenue at 12:05 Monday. No leaks were found.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held five medium-hair cats whose sex is listed as “unknown”; and one female and two male short-hair cats.

The shelter held this morning held a male 8-month-old pit bull-hound mix, a 1-year-3-month-old female Australian shepherd, a 1-year-old male Labrador retriever-pug mixed-breed, a 6-year-old female Labrador retriever, a 2-year-old female mixed-breed, and a 15-week-old male mixed-breed puppy.

A girl was born Friday, March 9, 2018, to Michael and Melissa Wood of Great Falls.
