Another Havre youth hockey team brought home a trophy from a state tournament this past weekend. This time, it was the Havre PeeWee squad.
The 12U Ice Hawks captured the MAHA PeeWee B state championship over the weekend, with a 7-2 victory over the Bozeman B team in the championship game.
The Ice Hawks started the tournament run with a 5-0 win over Billings Thursday, followed by an 8-2 win over Great Falls Friday and a 7-0 win over the Americans Saturday. In the semifinals, Havre defeated the Flathead Fusion 6-1, before beating Bozeman in Sunday's championship game.
The state championship roster for Havre included, Ciaran Courtnage, Grant Karns, Michael Emge, Tanya Ralph, Rhett Wertheimer, Trayden Riley, Kaylen TopSky, Oly Albrecht, London Toldness, Bryce Shettel, Elijah Frickel, Heather Herring, Dever Evringham, Jacob Herring, Clara Hollan, Jersi Morse, Decker Hanson and Austin Boyce. The team was coached by Chase Hanson.
The champiionship wrapped up a great all-around season for all of Havre's youth hockey teams.
