Five Lights reach NAIA All-American after day one in Iowa

Montana State University-Northern had a strong showing at the first day of the NAIA national wrestling tournament in Des Moines, Iowa. The Lights scored 42.5 points and currently sit in sixth place in the team race, but more importantly, Northern still has five grapplers ready to score points on Saturday.

Juniors Matt Weber (141) and Brandon Weber (157) are in the championship semifinals Saturday morning, while Andrew Bartel (165), Chris Nile (174) and Isaac Bartel (197) are battling in the consolation brackets, and have already secured top-eight finishes. That mean's the Lights will bring home five All-Americans from nationals this season.
