Local News - Middle school sets choral festival for Monday

Havre Middle School is hosting a Middle School Invitational Choral Festival Monday, March 5.

Seventh- and eighth-grade students from Sunburst, Shelby, Chinook, Turner, and Havre Middle School will sing in a large mass choir under the direction of guest conductor Larry Swingen from Malta.

After a day of rehearsing, an evening concert will be presented at 6:30 p.m. in the Havre Middle School Assembly Room. The repertoire is a diverse program consisting of a variety of selections representing different genres.

This festival has been a long-standing tradition as part of celebrating March’s Music In Our Schools month.

The public is invited to attend this no-cost event.
