Auditions for 'Charlotte's Web' set for next week

Montana Actors’ Theatre is holding auditions next week for people who want to bring a classic of children’s literature to the stage.

Auditions for the stage adaptation of E.B. White’s “Charlotte’s Web” start at 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 26-27, in Cowan Hall’s Little Theatre at Montana State University-Northern.

The beloved children’s tale recounts the story of the runt pig Wilbur as he is raised on a farm by farm girl Fern and his experiences with his friend and mentor, the barnyard spider Charlotte.

The show will cast a minimum of 14 roles for children youth, and adults. Speaking and nonspeaking roles are available. No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome to audition.

The scheduled show dates are May 4-6, 10-13 and 17-19.
