Havre Police Department

Haley Marie Kelm of Havre, 20, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant at the probation and parole office Wednesday at 10:25 a.m.

Officers investigated a motor vehicle crash near the post office Wednesday at 11:35 a.m.

Officers were called Wednesday at 5:02 p.m. to investigate a past sexual assault.

Officers investigated a 6:07 p.m. Wednesday report of a stolen shovel in the Smithville Road area.

Officers investigated a possible hit and run reported from Montana State University-Northern Wednesday at 7:21 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies were called to a U.S. Highway 2 West business Wednesday at 11:26 a.m. on a report of a shoplifter who was on the run. An arrest was made after deputies were called at 12:13 p.m. about a man walking on First Street West who might have been involved in the earlier incident. No additional information was available in the sheriff’s office dispatch log.

Deputies investigated a possible medical emergency at the Hill County Detention Center Wednesday at 5: 28 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Wednesday.

Fire crews responded to an attic fire on the 1200 Block of 12th Street Wednesday. No one from the fire department responded before deadline to provide more information.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held three medium-hair cats, sex listed as “unknown”; one female and two male short-hair cats; one female medium-hair cat; one female long-hair cat, and one female calico cat.

The shelter this morning held a 1-year-6-month-old female Australian shepherd, a 1-year-6-month-old female Rottweiler-shepherd mixed-breed dog, a 9-month-old male Australian shepherd, a 1-year-old male Labrador retriever-pug mixed-breed, a male 11-month-old German shepherd, a 2-year-old female border collie, a 6-year-old female Labrador retriever, a 7-month-old pit bull-hound mix and an 8-month-old male mixed-breed dog.

Births

A boy was born Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, to Jake and Christina King of Denton.
