A swing set stands nearly buried by snow Monday at Keystone Park in Havre. The region already has the record of snowfall for all of February, with Havre receiving 31.8 inches by Feb. 19 compared to the previous record for the month of 18.6 inches received in February 1978. National Weather Service meteorologist Roger Martin said today that the snow is likely to taper off in the next week or so, but colder-than-usual weather is expected through early to mid-March, although the area might see teens or 20s over the weekend. "There is no major warmup we can see right now," he said, adding that after a few more days with below-zero weather, the lows soon likely will not be as extreme, but it won't warm up much soon. "If you like cold this is a great pattern," Martin said.
