Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Rebecca Stroh, Chinook Wrestling

There are always milestones set at the All-Class State Wrestling Tournament. And Chinook freshman Rebecca Stroh set more than one of them this past weekend in Billings. Stroh placed sixth at 103 pounds in Class B-C Saturday, becoming just the third female to ever reach the podium at the MHSA state tourney. Stroh also won the first all-female match ever held at the state tournament along the way, and she is also the first girl to ever compete for the Beeters. Stroh's accomplishments also helped Chinook to a second-place finish in the Class C team standings.

Ben Iron Eyes, Rocky Boy Boys Basketball

The Rocky Boy Stars are on fire heading into the postseason, which starts later this week. And part of the momentum is how hot senior Ben Iron Eyes is right now. Last weekend, Iron Eyes scored 51 points combined in wins over Cut Bank and Havre High. Friday night, he poured in 33 points as the Stars took care of 1B rival Cut Bank, and in Rocky Boy’s regular season and home finale Saturday Iron Eyes hit for 28 in helping Rocky Boy sweep the Blue Ponies on the season. Iron Eyes and the Stars open District 1B play Thursday.
