Rural school buses closed, road conditions hazardous

Havre Public Schools announced via text and phone alerts that rural bus routes are canceled for today, Wednesday, Feb. 14. The district said it would continue to monitor the in-town situation.

The Montana Department of Transportation online road report map showed severe driving conditions on the roads north of Havre and on U.S. Highway 2 west of Havre with blowing and drifting snow. U.S. Highway 87 southwest of Havre and U.S. Highway 2 east to Chinook are reported with snow and ice, and east of Chinook with ice and black ice.
