Girl Scout Cookie season starts Friday

Friday, area Girl Scouts across Montana and Wyoming will begin taking pre-orders for Girl Scout cookies including Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Trefoils, Savannah Smiles and the gluten-free variety, Toffee-tastics. Also available again this year is Girl Scout S’mores — the most popular flavor to launch in the 101 years of Girl Scouts selling cookies.

This staple of Americana is available several ways over the coming weeks and months:

• Girl Scouts will take pre-orders Feb. 2 through Feb. 18, with delivery in mid-March

• Cookies can be ordered online from a Girl Scout through April 15

• Cookies can be purchased during Booth Sales March 23 to April 15; during that time you can use the booth-locator at girlscoutcookies.org/.

During Girl Scout Cookie season, each G.I.R.L. — Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader — sets out to sell delicious cookies while also building entrepreneurial and business skills that are imperative for leadership and future success including: goal setting, decision making, money management, business ethics and people skills.

All of the net revenue raised stays within the Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming council. Councils use cookie earnings to power amazing experiences for girls through programming, while girls and their troops decide how to invest in impactful community projects, personal enrichment opportunities, and more.
