HELENA — The Montana Department of Commerce is asking for the public’s help to recognize the best events, people, places and projects representing Montana’s tourism and recreation industry.
Nominations may be submitted online through a brief form at the Montana Tourism Awards website at http://marketmt.com/Events/GovernorsConference/MontanaTourismAwards/. Submissions began Jan. 8 and will continue to be accepted through Friday.
The Montana Tourism Awards celebrate the outstanding work of the communities, businesses, organizations and people who strengthen Montana’s tourism industry and thereby contribute to maximizing its economic impact for Montana residents.
Categories open to public nomination comprise Marketing Campaign of the Year, Event of the Year, Heritage and Cultural Tourism Award, Community of the Year, and Tourism Ambassador.
Judges from across the state will review the nominations and select four finalists per category. Winners will be announced during the April 16 banquet of the Governor’s Conference on Tourism and Recreation in Big Sky.
