Letter to the Editor - Northern Associated Students support sports complex

The Associated Students of Montana State University-Northern support Chancellor Greg Kegel, and the MSUN Administration, in the building of a sports complex.

This sports complex and field on MSUN’s campus will increase the ongoing retention and recruitment efforts. The MSUN administration is creating a positive movement toward the future of Northern; this will achieve growth in our enrollment. An increase in enrollment will allow for more academic funding. It should also be public knowledge that the football field will be funded with private donations.

Furthermore, providing a sports complex for students on campus within walking distance of the residence halls ensures students make it safely back to their rooms. The sports complex will also provide a weight room for athletics to use, thus freeing up the existing weight room below the gym for all students to use.

The new sports complex will host classroom space and student tutoring space along with tons of other benefits to all current and incoming students here at Montana State University-Northern.
