Havre Police Department

Officers investigated after receiving three calls Tuesday at 7:16 p.m. from people near 14th Avenue and Fourth Street about a couple fighting in the street.

Officers arrested Eric William Koop of Havre, 35, on charges of false reports to law enforcement authorities and violation of conditions release after Koop called from First Street Tuesday at 7:52 p.m. saying that people were trying to break in.

Officers issued a summons to Lauren Runningen of Havre, 20, on a minor in possession charge after an officer near Montana State University-Northern Tuesday at 11:50 p.m. assisted a woman with possible alcohol poisoning.

Officers investigated a motor vehicle having trouble today at 2:21 a.m. in the alley between Second and Third streets.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies made two arrests or after receiving a call Tuesday at 2:54 p.m. from someone at a U.S. Highway 2 West business who reported a shoplifting incident.

Deputies assisted a citizen after a Fresno Road caller reported Tuesday at 3:21 p.m. that they wanted to get property from their father-in-law.

Deputies assisted a citizen Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Hill County Detention Center.

Deputies made an arrests and issued a summons after a U.S. Highway 2 West business caller reported Tuesday at 7:47 p.m. that someone was stealing. Cordale Cheyenne Beard of Havre, 19, was arrested on a shoplifting charge and on a Justice or City court warrant. A 15-year-old was issued a summons on a shoplifting charge.

Medical crews responded to four calls Tuesday and one today.

Havre Animal Shelter

The animal shelter held this morning three medium-haired, three short-haired and one long haired cat.

The animal shelter held this morning a female pit bull terrier, a female Labrador retriever, a female akbash-Australian shepherd-mix, a male pit bull-Labrador retriever, a male American bulldog-pit bull terrier, a female hound, a female pug and a female pit bull terrier-spaniel mix.

Births

A boy was born Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, to Kristina Brown and Darrel Watson Jr. of Rocky Boy.
