Montana State University-Northern sophomore Shiloh McCormick missed most of November and almost all of December with a leg injury. But just before 2017 came to end, McCormick found her way back into the Skylight’s lineup and her impact was immediate.
In last Saturday’s 73-64 Skylight win over No. 17 Our Lady of the Lake in Havre, McCormick registered a double-double, earning her Frontier Conference Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.
The 5-9 guard from Lodge Grass scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the huge non-conference win for Northern. She also led the Skylights with six assists and had a block and a steal, while shooting 65 percent from the floor and perfect from the foul line.
Prior to an injury she suffered on Northern’s trip to St. George, Utah, in November, McCormick was averaging 13 points and 10 rebounds per game, and last Saturday, she picked up right where she left off.
Carroll College’s Ryan Imhoff was named the Frontier Men’s Player of the Week. Northern’s Ryan Reeves was also nominated.
The Skylights and Lights continue Frontier Conference play Thursday night when they travel to Butte to battle the Montana Tech Orediggers.
