Jacob Miller, Havre High Swimming

Havre High sophomore Jacob Miller has really burst onto the swimming scene. In two meets this season, Miller has placed in four races. Last week in Great Falls, Miller placed third in both the 200 IM and the 100-meter breaststroke, but the start of the season was even better. At the Havre Invite Dec. 9, Miller won the 100 breaststroke and added a fifth place in the 200 freestyle. Miller is in his second year of swimming and he also plays tennis and golf at HHS, as well as baseball in the summer.

Sarah Billmayer, Turner Basketball

The Turner girls basketball team is playing great basketball to start the 2017-18 season. And this past week, sophomore Sarah Billmayer was one of many Tornadoes who played at a high level. Last Monday, Billmayer scored 17 points as Turner knocked off Chester-Joplin-Inverness in Turner. One night later, Billmayer, who is already in her third year as a Tornado, scored 16 points as Turner bested Dodson at home. Billmayer and the Tornadoes are off to their best start in over a decade.
