The deadline for registration in a program to help people help those people dealing with mental illness is almost here.
Friday is the deadline to register for the National Alliance on Mental Illness-Havre’s 12-session Family-to-Family education program to help caregivers understand and support individuals with serious mental illness while maintaining their own well-being.
The program is free for family members, partners and friends of people with major depression; bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression; schizophrenia; borderline personality disorder; panic disorder; obsessive compulsive disorder; post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD; co-occurring brain disorders, and addictive disorders.
The course is taught by a team of trained NAMI family members who know what it is like to have a loved one struggling with one of these brain disorders.
People can contact Crystal Laufer at 406-879-66446 or on Facebook or Cindy Fitzpatrick at 406-265-4571, leave a message.
