Man sentenced for illegally having pain pills
A Havre man received three years probation for illegally having Oxycodone pills.
Thomas Craig Flesche, born 1997, received Monday in District Court in Havre a three year deferred imposition of sentence for felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
The sentence is part of a plea deal and Flesche can have the offense struck from his record if he abides by its conditions.
Flesche’s offense happened May 10, when a Hill County deputy was notified by a Hill County Detention Center officer that he found a baggie with six pills while booking Flesche at the jail. Police arrest log show that Flesche had been arrested that day on charges of aggravated driving under the influence, minor in possession and careless driving after a Sixth Avenue caller and two other callers reported a motor vehicle crash.
The deputy used an online pill identifying website to conclude the pills were 10-milligram Oxycodone pills. Flesche said he didn’t have a prescription for the pills and that he got them from a friend’s house not knowing what they were.
