From Big Sandy FFA
Nov. 8-11 the Big Sandy FFA Chapter traveled to Bozeman to take part in the Sixth Annual John Deere Ag Expo.
The chapter brought 23 students ranging in grades from seventh through 12th.
The John Deere Ag Expo serves as an invitational career competition event for contests like Ag Ed, Farm and Agri Business Management, Extemporaneous Speaking and many more.
This successful trip netted a number of high-placing titles.
In the Ag Ed CDE, Bailey Gasvoda took home third place. In the Farm and Agri Business Management CDE the senior team consisting of Dakota Terry, Hope Gasvoda, Dylan Darlington and Stacey Allderdice took home fourth place with Dakota Terry placing ninth overall individual. In Agronomy, the Big Sandy junior team consisting of Katherine Bold, Hunter Snapp, Cameron Schwarzbach and Lance Rutledge took third place with high individuals Katherine Bold for 10th place and Hunter Snapp taking 11th place.
The senior Vet Science team consisting of Faith Gasvoda, Andrea Rutledge, Dakota Terry and Georgia Wortman took 11th place. Big Sandy also had competitors in Food Science, Ag Mechanics, Horse Evaluation, and Livestock Evaluation CDEs.
The members of the Big Sandy team said, "Congratulations to all schools that competed and a big thank- you to the Montana FFA Association, MSU Bozeman, and John Deere Dealerships across the state for putting together another wonderful event."
