Press release

CHINOOK - After four days of intense voting, the winners of the Sweet Family Health Fair's Costume Contest were announced on Halloween.

The Anderson kids, Paxton, Fletcher, Sasha and Koleman, won the grand prize of season passes to the Chinook Pool and Havre Ice Dome with 286 votes.

Josie Sather won the $100 Master Sports gift certificate with 258 votes.

And Teagen Overcast won the book a month, donated by Plant A Seed...READ!, for a year with 208 votes.

Other winners from the fair held Oct. 27 at the Blaine County Fairgrounds include Sheena Pursley, winner of a new Garmin vivosmart HR fitness tracker; Teresa Roberts, winner of the Sweet Escapes Montana Trip and Henry Gordon, winner of the Sweet Escapes $200 cash prize.

More than 100 area residents attended the fair, which featured health screenings, electrocardiograms, flu shots, chair massages, a life-size Operation game, a dozen education stations, plus snacks provided by the Chinook High School students raising funds for their trip to Costa Rica.

Sweet Medical Center CEO Dana Pyette said she was grateful for the community's participation and enthusiasm.

"We tried something new this year with the timing of the health fair and incorporating more children's activities so we are very pleased with the turnout and hope the participants gained more knowledge and resources to empower themselves to live healthy," Pyette said.
