Shiloh McCormick had a big game for the Montana State University-Northern Skylights last Friday night. And the Frontier Conference took notice.
Monday, McCormick was named the Frontier Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, her first honor in her brief MSU-N career.
McCormick, a sophomore guard from St. Labre High School, poured in 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in helping the Skylights thump Dickinson State, 74-48 in the Armory Gymnasium. McCormick was 9-of-15 from the field (60 percent) and 5-of-6 from the free-throw line. In two games this season, McCormick, who came off the bench for the Skylights as a true freshman, has scored 33 points and grabbed 24 boards.
The Skylights are on the road Friday night, taking on Salish Kootenai College in Pablo.MSU-N then plays at Dickinson State Monday.
