The Montana State University-Northern football program will once again be looking for a new head coach as third-year head coach Aaron Christensen is expected to announce his resignation on Wednesday morning. The change comes on the heels of Northern's 93-19 loss last Saturday at Montana Tech, in which the Orediggers set several NAIA offensive records.
Christensen has won just two games in his two-plus seasons at Northern. He came to MSU-N from Missouri Valley College, where he was a highly-successful offensive coordinator for the Vikings.
The Lights are 0-7 in the Frontier Conference and 1-7 overall, with three games remaining.
Northern is expected to have an official announcement on Wednesday morning.
