Trajun Hannum, Chinook Football

The Chinook Sugarbeeters were looking to end their season with a victory over their biggest rival, and quarterback Trajan Hannum helped deliver. Hannum threw a pair of touchdown passes and threw for more than 200 yards as the Beeters knocked off Chester-Joplin-Inverness Friday night in Chester. The win was Chinook’s second over CJI this season and helped the Beeters finish with a 4-4 record in the Northern C. Hannum also plays basketball for Chinook.

Jaylynn Mitchell, Rocky Boy Volleyball

It’s been an up and down season for the Rocky Boy volleyball team. But Jaylynn Mitchell had a big week of highlights. Last Tuesday, Mitchell totaled 15 kills, five blocks and two aces in Rocky Boy’s five-set victory over rival Harlem. Mitchell came right back and added six kills and two blocks in a loss to Choteau Thursday night, and for the season she’s averaging nearly seven kills per match. Mitchell is also a standout on the basketball court for the Morning Stars.
