The Montana Hammer Motorcycle Club will be riding for its second annual Toy Run fundraiser Saturday with the aim of raising money for the Havre Jaycees Community Toy Chest.
The day will be largely spent on a poker run that will take 20-plus riders, and other accompanying vehicles, on a six-bar tour to collect poker cards, eat, fraternize and raise money.
The tour starts at the Eagles Club in Havre — kickstands go up at 10:30 — from where riders will cruise to the Walleye Tavern, then to Spencer’s Hi-Way Bar and Grill in Hingham, the Roadhouse Bar & Casino in Chester after that, then the Palace Bar in Fort Benton and the Mint Bar in Big Sandy before riders come back to the Eagles in Havre.
Once everyone is back at the Eagles, there will be a hamburger feed and a live and silent, auction. The local band Blind Luck will play music, taking the stage at 8 p.m.
Registration for the poker run is $20, and Montana Hammer Motorcycle Club Treasurer T.J. Daulton said, and people driving vehicles are also welcome to ride along. Rain, snow or sunshine, Daulton said, the toy run is happening.
The Jaycees have been doing toy fundraisers for as long as he’s been around, Daulton said. Other contributors have included local businesses which have gathered toys, as well as coats, to give out for the holidays.
The toys will be given out to kids near Christmas.
