From Big Sandy FFA
Big Sandy FFA Chapter took 22 students to Hobson Sept. 13 for the FFA District Leadership Conference.
The students participated in leadership and trust exercises, learned about FFA, and discussed career opportunities within agriculture. District Leadership Conference serves as a kickoff to the new FFA competition season.
"It was exciting to see an increased number of junior high students as well as some new upperclassmen joining us at this purposeful event," Advisor Brianna Bernhardt said.
The chapter was also awarded second place in the 2016-2017 Senior Sweepstakes, which is based on overall scores in Mechanics, Agronomy, Livestock Evaluation, and Farm Business Management career development events.
The Big Sandy FFA Chapter is looking forward to another great year of developing premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
