Havre Police Department

A 16-year-old was issued a summons on charges of theft from buildings and probation violation after a First Street caller reported a theft Thursday at 2:40 p.m.

A 16-year-old was issued a summons on a charge of juvenile curfew violations after someone stopped at the police station Thursday at 4:55 p.m. to report a juvenile offense.

Leo Nesmith of Dania, Florida, 70, was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass to property after a 4:24 p.m. Thursday request from Amtrak requested assistance removing a man from the train and a subsequent 5:07 p.m. call that the man refused to leave the station and was being verbally abusive.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Hill County Sheriff’s Office had no investigations or arrests to report.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to one call Thursday and one call early today.

A fire crew was called to the 1000 Block of First Street Thursday at 8:20 p.m. after a vehicle transmission line broke and spilled transmission fluid on the street. The crew cleaned up the spill, and no permanent damage occurred.

A fire flare-up was reported on the 55000 Block of Sucker Creek Road in an area that had been burned in the East Fork Fire. Fire Chief Mel Paulson and Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department Chief Josh Bebee checked on the fire and saw that it was safely within the previously burned area.

A boy was born Wednesday Sept 6., 2017, to Rachelle Vernwald and Zachery Boushie of Havre.
